Vintage Cooperatives broke ground last week on a housing development for seniors ages 55 and up. The Estates of Waukee will have 29 single-family homes in the Kettlestone development off Grand Prairie Parkway.
There are four floor plans with three bedrooms and two bathrooms or two bedrooms and two bathrooms, ranging from 1,394 to 2,010 square feet. The community also will have a clubhouse, fitness center, pickleball court, pool and lounge.
The Estates of Waukee will operate as a cooperative, meaning homeowners will hold membership stock in the organization, which will own the land and buildings.
